Gordon Sherrret was born on February 23, 1964 at Grace Hospital, Vancouver B.C., Canada and was adopted when he was 2 days old. He spent his childhood in Cranbrook B.C., attending T.M. Roberts Elementary and Parkland Junior Secondary schools before graduating from Mount Baker Senior Secondary School in June 1982.

After high school, Gordon enrolled in a one year Electronics Technician Program at East Kootenay Community College (now known as The College of the Rockies).

Following that, he spent 4 years at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, resulting in a Diploma of Technology in Industrial Electronics, awarded May 22,1987.

Electronics has always been one of Gordon's passions, whether it be building L.E.D. digital clocks or designing N scale Railway Crossings and Block Occupancy Signals.

Gordon lives in Calgary, Alberta with his wife Jill, and two cats, Isis and Lady.
